Sculpted in wet clay and cast in forton & concrete this original design was created for Diana Douglas - owner & CEO of Self-Counsel Press, a Vancouver based publishing company. In Helios (God/Goddess of the sun) I tried to infuse the sculpture with an ambiguous aura of origin. Is it Mayan,Indonesian, Chinese or even Egyptian? Eyes closed in meditation she dreams of 'all the faces in all of the places under the sun'.
